About Me

Thomas refuses to write about himself in the third person.

I’m happily married to Lauryn and have three kids–Rowan, Micah, and Truett. Together, we enjoy the every-day, mundane life. We travel several times a year to different parts of the country to experience the landscape and culture outside of our hometown. I’ve yet to find a place I like more than Bronwood–but it’s fun trying.

Outside of raising a family with my wife and helping run all the RAINEY businesses, I hold several practical interests: flying, explosives, and philosophy. I am an instrument-rated commercial pilot with single and multiengine privileges; I hold a federal explosives license which I use for private fireworks displays; and I am a budding philosopher with a particular interest in epistemology.

I was born, raised, and am a current resident of Bronwood, Georgia. I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering. Concurrently, I earned a bachelors degree in Mathematics from Georgia Southwestern State University. I work in the family business using my analytical skills to aid in day-to-day decision making as well as in long-term planning for all the RAINEY companies. I spend most of my time in the accounting and collections departments, but find myself helping out a little bit everywhere.
